New Owner for The Great NZ Food Show

One of the Waikato’s iconic events, The Great NZ Food Show has a new owner. Created by Classic Events in 2014, the event has gone from strength to strength and Ammie Hardie from Core Events saw an opportunity to add this iconic event to her own portfolio. With an exciting array of exhibitors and lots to see, do and experience, the Great NZ Food Show offers the complete food experience and has become a firm favourite with Waikato foodies.

“We know The Great NZ Food Show will be in fantastic hands with Ammie and her team and look forward to seeing the show continue to grow and evolve”, says Michele Connell, Managing Director of Classic Events.

The Great NZ Food Show was born from the lack of a true ‘foodietainment’ event in the Waikato. The show offers the ability to sample the latest in delicious edibles, local produce, and innovative products all in one place over two delicious days. It provides a place to indulge your taste buds with an exciting array of exhibitors offering an incredible range of fine New Zealand produce and product.

Visitors also get to enjoy cooking demonstrations by some of Waikato's top chefs and cooks, watch chefs battle it out in the Mystery Bag Cook Off and learn new skills in the special How to in 15 activation area.

Ammie is thrilled to add the Great NZ Foodshow to Core Events. With over 20 years event management under her belt, including National Agricultural Fieldays, Ammie has the expertise and dedication required to develop successful events. Core Events has just successfully held it’s new equine event Equifest in Taupo on 27-29 November. Ammie and her team are incredibly passionate about delivering experiences people can truly connect with.

“It is not often you get the opportunity to purchase such an iconic regional event, we are thrilled and the Great New Zealand Food Show aligns perfect with our company values. We are all about doing events that people get personal enjoyment and inspiration out of, therefore the potential and scope within this event is exciting and we look forward to working with all involved to bring another quality event people will love in 2021."
