Head chef Maurice is co-owner of the restaurant Mr. Pickles Bar & Eatery. Maurice, originally from the Netherlands has been influenced by his Dutch and Spanish parents.
Arriving in New Zealand for a working holiday after working as a chef in Europe, he worked in mostly fine dining establishments and setting up different venues for people in Auckland and Hamilton,
before setting up Mr Pickles and fried chicken joint The Bearded Weasel. Plus, the secret on the street is he is also opening another bar very soon!
