Cherie Metcalfe

Owner and CEO of Pepper and Me, Author of Keepers, Chef and mum of two

Cherie became a chef at age 17 after waitressing in a restaurant and becoming obsessed with the food! She then went overseas and spent a few years travelling, cooking and eating all over the world whilst working as a private super yacht chef. She then moved home and had two kids.

Instead of going back to work as a chef, she needed something else to do, and spices and sauces seemed to be in hot demand. She started at a market five years ago, and now Pepper and ME hired 20 staff and stocks 200 stores across NZ.

She published her first book Keepers last year, and her second book Together is due out in October. Cherie is passionate about food, people, wine and enjoying everything life has to offer.
